Doterra aromatouch massage
This deeply relaxing 40-minute treatment is performed with you lying face down, focusing on the back, neck, head, and feet. It does not include the arms or legs.
Using eight carefully selected essential oils, each oil is applied in a precise sequence to restore physical and emotional well-being through the power of essential oils. Minimal to no carrier oil is used, making the essential oils the primary focus rather than massage techniques.

The AromaTouch Technique is a combination of the two of the most powerful senses used in conjunction to provide an exquisite essential oil experience. The olfactory and sensory stimulation induced by volatile aromatic compounds and human touch and is a scientifically validated means to developing a strong connection with a client and positively influencing their well-being.
During a session, the practitioner applies a series of oils to the client’s back, feet and hands using different hand techniques.
The essential oils are applied along energy meridians and reflexology points to stimulate and promote homeostasis and bring balance to the body.
The AromaTouch Technique oils were selected for their individual and combined aromatic properties. These oils improve your well-being by reducing physical and emotional stressors and supporting healthy autonomic function.
The technique uses doTERRA’s certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils for an unparalleled grounding experience.
The AromaTouch Technique is a unique essential oil application method developed by Dr David Hill, the doTERRA founding executive and Chairman of Scientific Operations. It was designed to promote homeostasis and relaxation, reduce stress and support overall well-being.
Although a fair amount of scientific research shows the benefits of touch and other research supports the benefits of essential oils applied topically there is actually little research on the combination of the two. The doTERRA AromaTouch scientific study results suggest this technique is an excellent way to immediately reduce feelings of stress and promote relaxation.
Aroma is an important component of the AromaTouch Technique because it instantaneously prompts powerful emotional responses. As research has exhibited, activating your olfactory system directs your mind to specific memories, relaxes you, and helps create a close connection with whomever you are sharing the experience with.
Your body contains approximately 1,000 different genes that encode odour receptors. Meaning that there is a direct connection between your nose and your brain’s emotional control centre: the limbic system.
This system controls our emotions, mood, and memory, which is what makes aroma so important.
